Rudi Arrowood is the owner, founder and original “Princess” of Putnam Princess Parties. After offering to play the Snow Queen for a friend’s daughter, the “real life princess” business caught on like wildfire and she appeared as the Snow Queen at more than 100 events in just 4 months. Rudi established Putnam Princess Parties LLC in September of 2014 and is happy to be the ORIGINAL registered “real life princess” business in West Virginia.
Rudi is a lifelong student and fan of the arts. She grew up watching musicals and singing in church and in the chorus at school. She won two West Virginia State Show Choir Championships with Poca High School’s “Visual Volume” where she was also a soloist and “Best of Show” performer. Rudi studied voice for years under the incredible Deborah Lucas and has starred in many productions with the Charleston Light Opera Guild, most recent as Dolly Parton in “9 to 5: The Musical.” She also played the incredible jump roping and singing Brooke Wyndham in “Legally Blonde: The Musical” and a chorus member and dancing waiter in “Hello, Dolly!” Rudi continues to do voice over work and acting for instructional videos and commercials throughout the tri-state area.
Rudi is a former all-state basketball player and continues to cover a variety of high school sports throughout West Virginia doing color commentary, play by play, and analyzation for various broadcasting groups.
Rudi gained much of her on-air experience as a television news reporter at WCHS-TV in Charleston where she hosted the award winning “Fugitive Files.” That experience led to her serving as the as the Executive Director of the West Virginia Sheriffs’ Association where she lobbied for law enforcement and also coordinated all their special events and their youth leadership camp for hundreds of West Virginia teenagers. She then took her lobbying and media experience to become the Media Specialist for the West Virginia Department of Agriculture Commissioner Walt Helmick. Rudi then worked with children every day in Putnam County Schools where she served as the county’s Communications and Special Events Coordinator. Rudi is now running Putnam Princess Parties full time along with her marketing company “The KingMaker Marketing Agency.” The two businesses share the same location in Winfield, WV.
Rudi is married to Ryan Arrowood and assists him and his Teays Balley Christian Prep Basketball team with live social media coverage at nearly every game. They also parent two ridiculously awesome cats and one adorable hamster.
Rudi says, “Thank you for your interest in booking the best real life princess business in the tri-state area! I promise you that all of our wonderful actors will bring you the most authentic, enthusiastic and fun experiences you can imagine! We can’t wait to work with you and bring smiles to your little ones… And you!”
